This did the trick getting rust off the attachments on the toilet seat and around the plug. It’s worth the money

This leaves a sticky residue on paint and shiny metal, so has to be wiped all off again ( a very time-consuming and indefinite process). So you cannot paint over it straight away..It also leaves what looks like crystasllised bumps, so again you have to resand beofre painting. Basically DONT USE.
Use rust convertor it works much quicker and you can paint over it in under an hour

This product removed rust from a waste trap bolt that had been in place for over 15 years. One application (left overnight) was enough to remove all rust.
